A little bit about me
UX Designer with a background in front-end and communicatons
A brief summary
I started off in journalism and education, working as a reporter and a web content editor, and then teaching communication and UI design. After a few years I began freelancing in communications, web design and creating workshops teaching Adobe CC software. After a few years doing that I set out to enhance my skill set in Front-End Development.
During the Front-End course I realized that I am more of a UX Designer at heart. Knowing the basics of UX, I decided to deepen my knowledge, and enrolled in a UX Designer Upskill course at Hyper Island. A great course, that has given me the tools to continue my journey as a UX Designer.
I believe that my background as a journalist and a teacher is a great foundation to create and design user experiences that are user-centric, educational, and accessible. With my Front-End knowledge, I am also able function as a link between the UX/UI design team and developers.
My mission
My mission is to design user-focused experiences that are accessible and ethical. By combining my diverse knowledge of communication, visual design, education, and technology, I hope to live up to my mission, and continue to learn from all experiences in life.
